Save the Children has worked in Indonesia since 1976 to promote health
and nutrition, education, child protection, livelihoods, and emergency
preparedness and response. Save the Children has grown enormously in the
country and today we operate in 13 provinces across Indonesia. Our
program in Indonesia has made significant progress at the national
policy level. Through the better living, Education, Nutrition and
Development (BLEND) Project, and LINK (Livelihood to Improve Nutrition
for Kids), Save the Children will develop local capacity in Bender
Meriah’s to cover four sub districts and with Early Child Development
(ECD) and Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Livelihood and Nutrition
services to children and their mother. The program will strengthen and
improve the quality of existing posyandus, schools, and initiate new
services in villages also work to build the capacity of existing ECD,
Primary schools, Agriculture and training for teachers and equipping the
facilities with needed educational and health, agriculture materials.
Currently Save the Children immediately need experienced staffs to be
part of our BLEND & LINK program team and will be based in Bener Meriah, Aceh.
The position we are looking for are:
1. Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant LINK program (code: M&E Asst – BM) – 1 post, based in Bener Meriah
She/he will work under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator
to provide day to day coordination in services in target villages and
mobilize communities / local government to support sustainable services
S/he will be engaged in research and M & E activities which will
inform project plan for each of the target locations.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate planning, organization and management;
- Assist to design and implementation of all M & E activities
related to the MCH and ECD, health and Nutrition’s and
livelihood/agriculture components of BLEND and LINK Project.
- Assist the process of determining based on the assessment.
- Assist develop M & E plan, produce regular plans for the activities aiming to the develop the project indicator.
- Closely monitor implementation of the project work-plan by staff
are appropriately implemented and meet the needs of project target
document requirements.
- Assist to produce regular progress report highlighting
achievement against plans, challenges to implementation and
recommendations for the component performance improvement and monthly
report summary.
2. Track financial performance of activities (management, expenditure, etc);
- Assist in coming up with yearly, quarterly and monthly plan/requirement for the health (Nutrition) component.
- Develop monthly cash projection and review monthly budget versus actual.
3. Facilitate capacity building of community and stakeholders;
- Assist in identify capacity gaps for beneficiaries, group of
community and line government partnership of the program (DHC, DAO, DEO,
etc).
- In direction by the coordinator, conduct or collaboration with
other officers to strengthen the community and health worker capacity in
health or/Nutrition interventions such as workshop, serial trainings,
regular coaching and campaign/promotion activities.
- Ensuring the communities, posyandu cadres, ECD/kindergarten and
primary school members’ ability to participate and contribute in kind to
their development process.
4. Provide technical support;
- Advice on / ensure timely procurement of the right type,
specification and quantity of supplies for livelihood and health
provision activities.
- In collaboration with the other officers, ensuring to prepare all
of administration procedure support document such as vehicle utility
procedure, purchase request / requisition and others.
- Provide closely approach and communication with community leader and key stakeholders.
5. Monitoring, evaluation and documentation of livelihood and health activities.
- With the other officers, contribute on regular monitoring and
evaluation of the health /nutrition program activities in villages
working areas.
- Conduct visits to sampled beneficiaries to asses performance of
intervention in coordination with line local government partnership.
- Provide the health activity and monthly report, consolidate all
of data program requirement to develop quarterly, annual and project
report.
- Track progress of key indicator for strategy objective against
the benchmarks and ensure information is provide to M & E for
updating database in timely manner.
- Provide the documentation of activities through photos, short movie, etc.
- To follow of advice Project Coordinator on issues that may affect
the progress of activities under this component on time.
6. All stakeholders are aware of LINK program through networking, collaboration and coordination.
- Provide as key person figure on behalf LINK program at relevant
meeting with government, NGOs and other players in sub district.
- Build relationship well with relevant government Ministries /
department of Livelihood / Agriculture and health as well as other
stakeholders.
2. Project Assistant (code: PA – BM) – 1 post, based in Bener Meriah
She/he will work under Program Officer and Project Coordinator to
contribute to effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of
livelihoods to improved Nutrition for Kids (LINK) and program through
facilitation of all aspect of health, especially Nutrition’s program
intervention activities under this program in target catchments of sub
district.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate planning, organization and management of LINK program activities;

Contribute in the set up and develop
of program strategies and intervention for monthly, quarterly and
annually , collaboration with other personnel’s in the team.
- Collect, record and keep/maintain all basic health situation data
in target areas including community mapping, community health works
(CHSs0 Groups, access of health services, health providers services and
others data relevant with the program.
- Develop TORs and budget estimate requirement to guide implementation for overall intermediate result activity.
- Carry out, Organize or/conduct the health activities against operating plans as timely manner.
- Conduct community awareness/campaign/socialization meetings
linkage the program with stakeholders, community and local government.
- Assist on mobilize communities, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to be involved in development process.
- Develop TORs to guide implementation of key community
mobilization activities in sub district under the guidance of LINK
Coordinator.
- Ensuring that posyandus, ECD/kindergarten and primary school have provided the healthy snack and meals.

3. Logistics & Admin Assistant (code: LAA – BM) – 1 post, based in Bener Meriah
She/he will having direct report to Aceh Program Manager and
lead/supervise administrative support to all project activities in
office, in close coordination with all staffs and Program Manager.
Manage administrative functions, arranging logistic matter, admin,
meeting, as well as maintain store room in Bener Meriah.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure equipment and inventory controls in store room , asset management system.
2. Prepare the cash advance requests, payment for utilities schedules and commitments.
3. Control periodic admin budget spending reports versus budgets, and inform actual overspendings.
4. Proper filing system and tracking system and procurement tracking records.
5. Prepare all quotation to vendors, bidding process, provide PO and GRN after materials received.
6. Ensure that equipment and supplies are correctly inventoried and inventory records are up-to-date at all times.
7. Maintain effective and efficient systems for meeting preparation and quick respond.
8. Coordinate with staffs to ensure all loan materials with approval data from Program Coordinator.
9. As needed, coordinate with all program staffs for the office need.
10. Provide program support functions to program team in relation with outside visitors, i.e. hotel booking.
11. Support preparations for events including meeting, training, workshop, etc.
General Requirements:
Education: Bachelor University Degree in Social work and/or relevant discipline.
Skill and Experiences:
- Minimum 1 years working in similar task and (I)NGO.
- Good communication and interpersonal skill.
- Ability to work in a team/independently.
- Able to speak and to write good report in Indonesian language, English preferable.
- Computer literate.
- Good initiative and creativity.
- To be base at sub district level in Permata and Bener Kalipah, Bener Meriah.
