Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, the general supervision of the IOM Representative for Indonesia consortium with PINBUK as local partner and other IOM international and national consultants in the IOM Projects in Banda Aceh, the Supply Chain Coordinator will perform the following duties,

- Ensure the overall project management and the timely implementation of activities and reporting. In particular the Supply chain coordinator shall:

§ Assure the Strengthening business of Arabica Specialty Coffee clustersand Developing an integrated:
(1) Coffee Cooperatives Network System;
(2) The Receipt Warehouse System (WHR’s);
(3) Auction market, and
(4) Institutional specialty coffee institute and nursery.

The integrated systems and services will allow Arabica Specialty Coffee cooperatives and farmers easier access to credit, innovation and market.

§ Supervise and guide the implementation of the
(1) Coffee Cooperatives Network System;
(2) The Receipt Warehouse System (WHR’s);
(3) Auction market, and
(4) Institutional specialty coffee institute and nursery and ensure related reporting.

- Manage the national consultants/officer/trainer/staff under pinbuk’s activities and activities to deliver the expected results and assume integration of project work in improvement supply chain of Arabica Specialty Coffee business side into the normative work of local government on conclusion of the project.

- Serve as liaison officer between IOM at the local provincial and
national levels for the purpose of ensuring transparency and cooperation between the involved parties, i.e. in particular District Government of Bener Meriah and Aceh Tengah, BAPPEBTI and the EDFF.

- Under the supervision and the leadership of the Project Manager, the Consultant shall also:

- provide advice, as requested, to the Districts Government and Provincial Government on policy issues related to Specialty Coffee Arabica Gayo sector;
- assist related local entities and provincial government in planning,
formulating, implementing and monitoring of projects and activities;
- Provide technical assistance, as required, to concerned government bodies and IOM implementing partners engaged in the provision of assistance to the Specialty Coffee Arabica Gayo sectors.
- undertake any other activities relating to the appropriate implementation of the project as directed by IOM supervisors

Reporting: Prepare quarterly progress reports detailing activities undertaken and results achieved. At the completion of the assignment the Supply Chain Coordinator will prepare a technical report describing activities undertaken, problems and achievements, lessons learned, conclusions and recommendations. A summary should be included. This report should be cleared by the IOM Project Managers and submitted no later than one month after the completion of the assignment.

Duty station : Banda Aceh
Area of Operation : Aceh province (Banda Aceh,Bener Meriah and Aceh Tengah )

Within country travel

Duration of Initial Contract : Start in November 1st, 2010. 3 months initial contract with possibility of extension for 14 months

Qualifications Master degree in management, Marketing or agriculture with minimum 5 years working experience or and equivalent of training. Working experience in progressively senior positions in business or agricultural specially access to finance and market development. Ability to work independently. Experience in monitoring, control and surveillance and/or cooperatives warehouse receipt system and auction market systems development will be considered an asset. In-depth knowledge of principles of supply chain and business commodity development as well as their application in Indonesia.

Skills and languages : Excellent command of spoken and written English. Strong writing, analytical, communication and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
and in the field. knowledge of Acehnese a plus.
