
Job title: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Expected duration: December 2011 to 31 March 2012
Description of responsibilities :
- Refine already existing M&E data monitoring tools and ensure they are developed using sustainable programming principles. This will involve M&E of the project’s subject components of agriculture, production, marketing, communications, cooperative development, trainings, capacity building, procurement, and construction.
- Develop new M&E tools as needed.
- Collect, organize and analyze project data reported from the four District
- Coordinators (DC’s) and the five project Advisors relevant to the program
- goals.
- Report in English the data analyzed in graphic and narrative forms on the
- progress and status of the project as needed on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Validate project data by working with the DC’s, Advisors and the Coordination Officer and by monthly and quarterly field visits.
- Work closely with the Head of Mission, DC’s and Advisors to ensure that project quality processes are applied in the field.
- Supervise and support staff and partners through group or one-on-one training to ensure they are able to achieve program goals and gather, compile
- and analyze data to demonstrate the impact of their work.
- Identify training needs and provide on-the-job training and mentoring support in M&E to staff and partners.
- Ensure that valuable learning and experience from the field is documented.
Recruitment qualifications:
Education : Bachelor degree in relevant & related discipline.
Experience :
- At least 3 years professional/ practical experience working on similar project(s).
- Sound knowledge about monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Practical experience in developing and applying program and project monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Ability to develop (tailor) specific mentoring plan(s) based on the staff needs & community participation tools and instruments.
- Experience in database creation and management.
- Demonstrated experience in program design, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building, mentoring & training.
- Demonstrated strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills across a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Proven people development, motivational and management skills.
- Coaching skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and an ability to live and work with teams.
Language :
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Indonesia; Bahasa Aceh essential but not required.
