Friends International is seeking qualified Indonesian national to fill the following positions: Restaurant Manager and Chef/Cooking Teacher for its Teman Baik program based in Banda Aceh. Teman Baik will set up a social business which is a Restaurant to provide vocational Training directly to youth. Restaurant Manager
Position Summary
The Restaurant Manager will manage all activities related to training and business aspects of this Restaurant business. The Chef/cooking teacher will ensure the quality of serving of food and beverages and work closely with Restaurant Manager in training the students.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the kitchen and lounge operation and quality is set up and scheduled based on SOP’s
- Ensure the staffs and students are trained to operate kitchen and
lounge based on SOP’s
- Ensure staff and students provide good services to consumer and monitor
catering orders and on-time preparation and delivery
- Oversee and approve the purchasing of goods and services for the
Restaurant, assist in the budget process, maintain budget, account for all revenue, review monthly financial report
- Supervise, train, evaluate and support Restaurant staff (lounge, kitchen, catering and training); teach students, interview candidates for cooking teacher, service and cashier positions
- Write monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Meet tour groups and explain about Teman Baik’s mission and operations
Requirements
Education: Degree in tourism, or degree in hospitality or business management
Knowledge: Knowledge of local and international Restaurant businesses, knowledge of general Restaurant operations
Experiences: Minimum two years experience in managing Restaurants
Computer and office technology: e-mail, word, excel
Language: Bahasa Indonesia (native), good level of English spoken and written is mandatory, knowledge of any other language is a definite bonus
Skills: management skills, good people skills, good communication skills
CHEF/COOKING TEACHER
Main Responsibilities
Ensure all students follow proper rules of dress, hygiene, and Code of conduct in kitchen
Ensure quality, consistency and timeliness of all food and beverages Monitor, request, receive, and properly store food supplies
Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, food, tools and wares,
Ensure safety of students
Update menu and specials as required with students
Prepare food costing of all food and drinks on menus,
Identify and requisition of food supplies and materials/equipment to keep kitchen properly stocked
Supervise and train all cooking students
Meet tour groups and costumers and explains TB mission and its operations
Requirements
Education: Degree in tourism or hospitality or business management
Knowledge: Knowledge of local and international Restaurant businesses, knowledge of general Restaurant operations
Experiences: Managing Restaurants
Computer and office technology: e-mail, word, excel
Language: Bahasa Indonesia (native), good level of English spoken and written is mandatory, knowledge of any other language is a definite bonus
