Lowongan Kerja Islamic Relief - Finance Coordinator

Islamic Relief Worldwide is an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes.
Islamic Relief Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in Indonesia since 2003. Islamic Relief Indonesia provides service and support to the communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood, Orphans, Education, Marines Fisheries, and Disaster Preparedness and Response. Through these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays significant role in alleviating the suffering and poverty of the world's poorest people.

Islamic Relief Indonesia seeks to hire committed and experienced person for the following:

Position: Finance Coordinator
Base: Banda Aceh Office - NAD

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General: To be responsible to assist for the overall management and direction of IR finance operations, communications, budgeting, budget tracking, financial statements and internal control.

1. Assist the finance manager to maintain systems and controls to ensure the efficiency, integrity and transparency of the country office and sub-office operations in accordance with guidelines provided by Islamic Relief Head Quarters and internationally accepted accounting standards.

2. Assist the finance manager to ensure all accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial transactions is maintained in a systematic order and in safe and secure conditions in the field office and
sub-offices.

3. Assist the finance manager in the preparation of Financial Statements, as per requirement of the International Accounting Standards and Local Laws & regulations.

4. Assist the finance manager to provide Islamic Relief Head Quarters with complete, accurate and timely financial reports, including institutional donor reports where required for all projects implemented in
the field office, in the required formats.

5. Assist the finance manager to maintain accurate and effective financial controls on all transactions incurred by the field office and sub-offices as part of project implementation and other related costs.

6. Assist the finance manager to maintain effective control over cash and bank, and ensure that cash in hand and bank reconcile with accounting records.

7. Assist the finance manager to provide quarterly and where required monthly financial reports to the Islamic Relief HQ Finance department on timely manner.

8. Assist and support in ensuring that field expenditures meet Islamic Relief and institutional donor requirements and remain within the approved plans and budgets.

9. Assist and support in the preparation of budgets for project proposal and annual field office budgets.

10. Assist the finance manager to establish effective and efficient work of budgetary, accounting, reporting and internal control systems for the field and all sub-offices.

11. Monitoring and reconcile the control accounts of the country office and/ or sub offices.

12. Monthly salary income tax report.

13. Any other related duties requested by Finance Manager or IRI management.

14. Willing to do frequent official travel.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • A post graduation degree in Finance / Accounting or Qualified Accountant.
  • Four years relevant experience in required capacity in international NGO. Experience in budgeting & Reporting, preparation of Financial Statements, internal control, and treasury function & salary tax income.
  • Board knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Donors reporting guidelines, especially World Bank, EC, Dip ECHO, DEC.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience in working on financial software system, QuickBooks is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel Outlook, assess & Power Point.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Research skills.
