Lowongan Kerja Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief Worldwide is an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes.
Islamic Relief Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in Indonesia since 2003. Islamic Relief Indonesia provides service and support to the communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood, Orphans, Education, Marines Fisheries, and Disaster Preparedness and Response. Through these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays significant role in alleviating the suffering and poverty of the world's poorest people.

Islamic Relief Indonesia seeks to hire committed and experienced person for the following:

Position: Logistics Officer (LO)
Base: Banda Aceh Office - NAD
Duration: 6 (six) months

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General :

1. Assisting Logistics Senior Officer in managing subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as liaisons between subcontractors and organizations. (LO)

2. Protect and control proprietary materials. (LO)

3. Responsible for direct allocation of materials order and supplies availability (LO)

4. Manage the logistical aspects of product re-order point, including coordination or provisioning of samples from supplier, and the minimization of obsolescence.(LO)

5. Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents in order to assess supply needs.(LO)

6. Responsible for handling custom clearance for any in-kind donations both exported or imported (LO)

7. Responsible for storage data and monitor vehicle registration and insurance status (LA & LO)

8. Responsible for HSE implementation in daily office operations (LO)

9. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock (LO)

10. Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations. (LO)

11. By request by Logistics Senior Officer. You may contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems. (LA/LO)

12. By request by Logistics Senior Officer you may review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications from program team (LA-LO)

13. Monitor contractor performance, recommending contract modifications when necessary. (LO)

14. Prepare invitation-of-bid forms and mail forms to supplier firms or distribute forms for public posting. (LO)

15. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.(LO)

16. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

17. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

18. Provide assistance or direction to Logistics Assistant.

19. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.

20. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.

21. Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for book keeping purposes.

22. Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • At least 4 years work experience in a similar job
  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree from Administration Management or similar field studies
  • Familiar with internet, e-mail and computer literacy
  • Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in bahasa Indonesia and cross-cultural environment
  • Proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations
  • Capacity to work under time pressure and sometimes extra hours
  • High level of motivation
  • Attention to detail and the ability to be systematic and organized
  • Takes a proactive approach to handle the jobs
  • Actively establishes and maintains high standards
  • Ability to work independently and team with reasonable skills at prioritization
  • Willingness to learn and accept guidance for personal improvement
  • Commitment to Islamic Relief aims, beliefs and objectives
