An NGO-managed education program operating in seven provinces in Indonesia seeks qualified candidates based in Medan & Aceh for the following vacant position:
SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER – MEDAN
Position Description
The Senior Finance Officer reports to Jakarta Personnel & Finance Manager. The Senior Finance Officer assists the Provincial Coordinator to oversee budget for technical activities, and work closely with Office & HR Manager. The Senior Finance Officer processes accounting transactions according to the general principles of accounting and home office field accounting manual. The Senior Finance Officer trains & supervises accounting staff, prepares budgets and financial reports, reconciles monthly bank statements and verifies all deposits. The Senior Finance Officer must also follow all relevant USAID and local Indonesian government policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring all project financial management and reporting systems are in place, and assisting outside auditors when needed.
Requirements
- University degree in accounting or relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management
- Speak and write English (minimum level 3 required).
- Basic knowledge of computer (Quick Books is a plus).
- Knowledge of USAID policies and procedures.
OFFICE MANAGER – ACEH
Position Description
Education Development Center is seeking an Office Manager for a USAID-funded basic education project. The Office Manager manages all human resources and office management tasks, hiring new staff, work with Provincial Coordinator to ensure function of administrative and human resources area. Oversee Administrative Assistant in facilitating all logistical aspects of project administration including arranging travel, processing travel clearances and fielding consultants, developing meeting notes and assign Administrative Assistant in assessing training.The Office Manager reports to the Provincial Coordinator.
Required Job Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years administrative/human resources management experience with large international projects
- Successful experience working in a diverse, face-paced environment
- Familiarity interacting with benefits providers and processing HR-related paperwork
- Excellent computer skills including, Microsoft word, excel, lotus notes email system
- University degree in Office Management/Administration or relevant field required
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required
