It takes an integrated approach that will empower women and men to develop self reliance and the opportunities for poverty alleviation. The central that by engaging smallholders in entrepreneurial activity, and addressing the systemic factors that limit opportunities for them in the social and economic environment, they will Be able to lift themselves out of poverty. This can be that increase the resilience of communities, increase access to markets, and develop entrepreneurial values in communities that will contribute to livelihood development.
These activities will be combined with addressing environment in which all social and economic activity occurs. The PESAT approach is to work with smallholders to take as much control over the value chain as possible in order to derive profit not only from primary product of processing, marketing, volume purchasing and collective selling.

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
Position Information
• Report to: Logistic Officer
• Duty station: Banda Aceh
• Expected duration of assignment: Oct 2011 to 31 March 2012
Organizational Context
He/she will be involved in the volume purchasing of equipment, materials, and supplies for CCA project. Work involves initiating purchase requests and keeping track of the stages through which each order is routed until receipt and payment, shipping and receiving responsibilities for materials purchased including filing damage claims and shipping out materials being returned for various reasons.
Description of Responsibilities
• To prepare, register, issue and follow up Purchase Orders;
• To ensure that quotations are completed in time and that the requester is informed of results;
• To ensure that the validation process is respected, that acknowledge are sent to the requester and that follows up are done on all Request Orders;
• Liaises and co-ordinates with the relevant departments/ functions regarding delivery of supplies and keep all parties informed of any changes;
• To conduct purchases according to the Canadian Co-operative Association procurement standards and instructions received from the supervisor;
• Executes the purchase of appropriate supplies and arranges delivery in a timely and cost effective manner;
• Ensures to follow good receiving process including inspection on delivery and the correct invoice, delivery note/good receiving note is signed by concerned parties;
• Assist in the maintenance of an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for regularly purchased items, and keep updated on local market conditions;
• Prepares monthly report with respect to all procurement activities and submit to the supervisor on time.
Recruitment Qualifications
• Education: A minimum D-III degree
• Experience:
3 years experience with logistics and procurement for a business or INGO Good acknowledges procurement of goods and services Experience tracking assets Ability to travel in the district as needed to oversee delivery Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to oversee delivery in the field
• Language Requirements: Excellent Bahasa Indonesia and fair level of English (written and spoken)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The PROJECT MANAGER OPERATIONS is based in Banda Aceh with frequent travel within rural areas of Nagan Raya and Pidie Districts.
