Program Manager

The Yahoo! Communications team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to manage a diverse set of mobile projects. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion. Candidate should be able to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Job responsibilities:
· Author and manage the project plan, schedule, and resources. Ensure project status, risks and open issues are documented and all stakeholders are informed in a timely manner
· Work closely with engineering, QA and product teams to track deliverables and to hit milestones as outlined in the project plan
· Drive cross-functional team deliverables, schedules, hitting target milestones and managing assigned projects according to plan
· Lead team meetings to ensure that roadblocks and open issues are removed
· Communicate weekly status and completion of deliverables to overall team
· Coordinate product roadmaps and drive teams to meet the milestones outlined in the plan
· Work with other program managers to align schedules and release dates to meet deadlines, identifying risks and removing roadblocks for team members

Job qualifications:
· 5+ years of technical program management experience with large, distributed and global systems
· Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones and geographic locations
· Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects, with changing requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines
· Expertise in project management concepts, practices, and procedures
· Experience with agile project management processes such as scrum is critical for success in this role
· Ability to understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to identify gaps
· Strong verbal and written communication and follow up skills
· Excellent people skills: relationship building, negotiation and collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skills set and levels of experience
· Strong advocate who can push agenda while preserving relationships
· Basic knowledge of standard mobile and web technologies
· BA/BS required, Master’s degree preferred. Project Management certification (PMI) preferred

Mobile QA Engineer Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and web savvy, talented, highly motivated, quality, process and success-oriented QA engineers. The individual must have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of QA, QA’s goals, working with QA and non-QA groups, and extensive background in solid test coverage of complex global Mobile Web and Client applications in a 24x7 global production environment. Automation experience is required in web services, front end testing, and/or client application testing (Java ME/iPhone/Android).

Job Responsibilities:

· Create manual test suites for different mobile devices
· Defining test plans and specifications
· Execution of test cases and reporting product failures
· Following project milestones, design, implement, document, and/or execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing)

Minimum Job Qualifications:

· BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
· 5+ years of demonstrated Mobile QA Experience which includes working with automation tools, experience testing broad range of devices, develop test plans, and processes
· Experience testing native Java ME, Android, and iPhone applications
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
· Fast learner and strong sense of ownership of all the Quality and Processes

Mobile Developer – Java ME

Minimum Job Qualifications:

· BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
· 8 - 10 years of Java ME development experience which includes working with Sun’s Wireless Development Toolkit and IDE
· Strong knowledge of core Java
· Professional software engineer with a record of shipping excellent product
· Productive coder, able to work effectively with object-oriented design
· Follows best practices (experience in following design patterns)
· Able to read and understand other people’s code as easily as you write your own
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
· Excellent problem solving and fast learner
· Experience in Android and/or BlackBerry is a plus
